Independent DAOs & DARs

At BAC Aerospace, we are happy to team up with delegates in other disciplines. We can also supplement the scope of an existing DAO on a project-specific basis, providing coverage for the powerplant installations, engines, and noise disciplines.

 We work with others

Aircraft design & certification is a team activity. For a large and complex STC program to flow efficiently and be successful, the primary disciplines should have proper delegate coverage.  Such coverage becomes critical for design changes classified as significant under the Changed Product Rule (CPR), where the latest certification basis applies.

For programs involving powerplant/engine or propeller changes, or for new designs, we can provide the coverage for powerplant installations, engines, and noise disciplines, as required by the project's operational needs (or when requested by Transport Canada).

At BAC Aerospace, we are happy to work with our peers in other disciplines, be it a collection of DARs working together under the auspices of an Airworthiness Control Committee (ACC) or through an existing DAO managing the program. Our size and organizational structure allow us to exercise maximum flexibility to accommodate the potential needs of our collaborating partners.
