Aircraft Design Services
At BAC Aerospace, we have the expertise to help you design and integrate the propulsion system installation on your airplane, helicopter, or another type of flight vehicle.
If required, we can also do the design ourselves to provide you with a certified turnkey solution. We are flexible and can scale the scope of our design support to suit the needs and situations of each particular client.
"Design with certification in mind"
The most successful and the least expensive way to get an aircraft or its modification certified is to design it with the applicable airworthiness requirements in mind in the first place. Forgetting these requirements is like throwing money away, akin to trying to build a skyscraper on unstable ground, without the necessary permits, with unapproved material and processes. Unfortunately, aircraft certification standards are incredibly complex and can be less than intuitive. Often a single misinterpretation of a requirement can lead to a partial or a complete redesign, with considerable time and money being lost as a result.
We are here to make sure this does not happen. By having us involved in the design phase early on, we can help your design team develop a product that will meet the certification requirements. We can tell you what is approvable and what is not. We save you time and money by advising you on the best design alternative. The earlier you get us involved in the design phase, the better.
If you prefer, we can do the propulsion system design and integration work for you on a work package basis. Our state-of-the-art CAD systems are compatible with the most common native formats, allowing for seamless integration of CAD work between the client and us.
Design Assurance Services
In addition to our design services, we can also help our clients who are required to implement Design Assurance process in accordance with ARP4754A. Our expertise in this field is focused on propulsion systems and auxiliary power unit installations.
