elected Fellow of Royal Aeronautical Society
21, MARCH 2023
Chris Baczynski, the CEO and Principal Consultant of BAC Aerospace has recently been elected a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAes). By this achievement, Mr. Baczynski becomes one of a handful of Canadians awarded this honour.
The RAeS is a UK-based professional institution and learned society dedicated to the global aerospace community. Founded in 1866, it is one of the world's oldest aeronautical societies, with a long history of promoting and advancing the science and engineering of aeronautics and astronautics. To receive this honour, a Fellow must have made “outstanding contributions in the profession of aeronautics, attained a position of high responsibility in the field and had long experience of high quality.”
Some of the best known RAeS Fellows of the past century include Reginald Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire aircraft, Geoffrey deHavilland of the deHavilland aircraft fame, and the famous World War II-era RAF ace Douglas Bader.
